Trade Nation, a forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker, has broadened its sports-sponsorship portfolio by closing the latest deals with two domestic England cricket clubs, Hampshire Cricket and Southern Vipers.
Under the terms of the agreement, Trade Nation has gained the status of an official supporter of both clubs, and its logo will appear on the sleeves of all three Hampshire men’s kits, as well as the Southern Vipers kit.
“We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Trade Nation, a progressive, ambitious company – who share our desire to innovate,” said Tom James, Head of Sales and Commercial Partnerships at Hampshire Cricket.
Though not as popular as football, cricket has a massive following in England. The shorter T20 format of the game, which wraps up in around three hours compared to the traditional five-day-long matches, has made the sport entertaining with a mass appeal.
Hampshire Cricket is one of the oldest and most successful domestic cricket clubs in England. It was founded in 1863 and is the reigning champion of the T20 Blast, the domestic cricket league. The Southern Vipers, on the other hand, are a women’s cricket team representing the South of England.

The latest sponsorship deal of Trade Nation shows brokerages’ interest in regional clubs and sports rather than inking big-ticket deals with football teams. Several other brokers are also inking similar deals with domestic cricket teams and other regional sports.
Further, the latest deal also makes the growing popularity of women’s spots prominent. Recently, Axi, an Australia-headquartered retail broker, extended its agreement with Manchester City Football Club to include the women’s team. Crypto exchange Bitget also made similar moves with its Juventus deal by adding the women’s team.
