Meizu reveals new 20 series, first flagship phones since 2021
Chinese phone maker Meizu has unveiled its first new flagship smartphones since 2021, as the brand looks to revive its fortunes under new majority owner Geely. The Chinese automaker acquired a majority stake in Meizu last July and last week announced the incorporation of a Meizu-developed in-car operating system into its new Lynk & Co SUV the 08. Meizu launched its new flagship 20 series on Thursday, comprising three models: the Meizu 20, Meizu 20 Pro, and Meizu 20 Infinity. The new smartphones run on the company’s latest mobile OS system, Flyme 10, and are powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The range features a 50MP main camera and 120Hz screen and comes in a choice of four colors: green, yellow, pink, or black. The Meizu 20 series will officially launch in China in April, priced from RMB 2,999 to RMB 8,499 ($436 to $1,237). [IThome, in Chinese]
