Imo guber: Odunzeh woos Udenwa, Ihedioha, Okorocha, Ararume

…Says the state needs transformation

From Okwe Obi, Abuja

Ahead of the November 11 Imo State governorship poll, candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party ( NNPP), Uche Ben Odunzeh, has called on former governors like Chike Udenwa, Emeka Ihedioha, Rochas Okorocha and Ifeanyi Ararume, to support his ambition.

Odunzeh, in a statement yesterday, said the State was poorly governed despite the abundance of natural resources and human capital scattered all over.

According to him, residents groan because of youth restiveness, unemployment, spate of killings and kidnapping.

He said it was time for the former governors to join forces with him, in order rescue Imo State from bad governance.

He said: “I commend the boldness of the former Governor of Imo State His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha when he stated that Imo leaders should come together to save the state.

“I want to use this forum to remind the former governor that the time has come to implement that call by supporting my aspiration as the only candidate who has the needed capacity to restore the lost glory of Imo.

“Also, I want to use this opportunity to call on my brother the former governor of imo state Rt Hon. Emeka ihedioha that his decision and comments are needed mostly in this period. It is said that silent is golden but this time around silent is not golden.

“I have come to serve and redefine our origin as the eastern heartland. I appeal to Chief Udenwa, Senator Okorocha, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha and Senator Ararume to show concern in this journey of saving imo state and support me.”
