Golfer Ko Jin-young held onto her world No. 1 position by the slimmest of margins in the latest rankings released Tuesday. 

Ko has 7.25 points, a mere 0.05 point ahead of No. 2 Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand. 

Ko dropped out of the BMW Ladies Championship last week due to a recurring wrist injury, which had already forced her to miss two previous tournaments.

She would likely have lost the spot if Thitikul, who finished the event in sixth place, had performed better.
