AYN Loki Zero: US$249 Windows gaming handheld finally starts shipping
AYN Technologies has started shipping the Loki Zero, a Windows gaming handheld based around the AMD Athlon Silver 3050e APU. The AYN Loki Zero debuted over a year ago and is still orderable for US$249.
AYN Technologies has finally started shipping Loki Zero pre-orders, shortly after the company started selling the Odin2. To recap, the Loki Zero debuted in July 2022 and was originally slated to ship in Q4 2022. Subsequently, AYN Technologies ditched various Loki models, with the Loki Zero remaining the cheapest at US$249.
Specifications are unchanged too, including an AMD Athlon Silver 3050e APU. Moreover, the Loki Zero has a 6-inch IPS display that outputs at 1,280 x 720 pixels with a 60 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, AYN Technologies includes 4 GB of 8 GB of DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM RAM and a choice between 64 GB eMMC or 128 GB M.2 2230 storage. It is worth keeping in mind that the Loki Zero supports full memory expansion, unlike many of its peers.
Elsewhere, the Loki Zero has a 40.5 Wh battery, a USB 3.2 Type-C port and the usual assortment of gamepad controls. The Loki Zero is still orderable, although you are likely to incur sales taxes and customs when ordering from most countries. Please note that AYN Technologies does not list a shipment date for new orders on its website. Please see the Loki Zero product page for more details.
