The ALGS Pro League’s high-adrenaline circuit begins its second Split to determine the next set of teams going to the 2024 Championships.

ALGS Split 2 resumes this season’s thrilling race to the biggest event of the season. In this stage, 150 elite teams across four regions will compete in high-stakes tournaments to earn their spot in the 2024 Championships.

The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) is the annual esports tournament derby for Apex Legends. Organized by EA and Respawn Entertainment, the competition showcases the finest esports talents in the world. With millions on the line, pro-players face adrenaline-pumping action and clutch plays for their chance of winning this year’s title.

South America

The Apex Legends ALGS Schedule for South America’s Regional Finals starts on July 6, 2024. Teams that place 1st and 2nd will compete at the Split 2 Playoffs in August 2024.

The format for ALGS Split 2 consists of a “Triple Round-Robin” where 30 teams split into three groups (namely A, B and C) and play against each other.

When a group goes up against another group, they play a “Match Series” of 6 games. Each roster must play a “6 Match Series” (or 36 games) to earn all of their “Post-Match Series Points”. The top 20 teams with the most points go to the Regional Final.

The Regional Final is played in a Match Point Format. Here, the first team to secure 50 points and secure a 1st-place finish in a game wins. The remaining teams are ranked by their total points awarded in the series.

The South America Regional Finals will be played in a “Checkmate Format” where 20 teams fight to win a game after becoming “Match Point Eligible”. There is no match limit in the South America Regional Finals, but if a winner is found before the 6th game, the remaining 19 rosters battle until six games are played.

The ALGS 2024 Split 2 tournament has a prizepool of $500,000 ($125k for each region), with an additional $31,250 going to the South America Regional Finals.
